Benjamin Doherty is a composer for film, TV and multi media productions. Whilst freelancing as a composer, he also graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2020 with a First Class Honours in Creative Music Production. Benjamin is comfortable with each process of producing music (or audio), whether it’s composing, recording or mixing. He is most known for the narrative projects such as Amazon exclusive TV pilot 'How To Dress For The Apocalypse', and received multiple awards from international film festivals such as ‘Best Score’ at the Hollywood Film Competition for the short '7 Minutes', and ‘Best Original Score’ at the Independent Shorts Awards for the short 'Storytellers'. Benjamin has also produced original music for promotional video content for clients such as Oxford United Football Club and Oxford University. As a composer, Benjamin always aspires to compose character and thematic driven music. Each score manages to balance genre conventions and expectations with character motives and development, creating scores that work seamlessly alongside the film’s narrative.
