I am a digital music producer who primarily specializes in audio manipulation, composition and sequencing. heavily rooted in analogue hip hop with branches of jazz, glitch, shoegaze and break-beat. my production journey started in 2003, when began my studies in music tech & theory for 4 years in college, during this time i had the opportunity to be taught and guided by people with extensive experience and knowledge in composition and also all maps of the music industry. people including Aled Richards (formerly of catatonia) and jazz musician Dr Cenfyn Evans. I then later went on to study for my musicology degree at university for a further 3 years, here i really learned to hone in on my craft and aesthetic. It's where I gained a critical knowledge of music and its place in our world in general...appreciating a piece of music for where it stands socially and or historically, what its doing and how all of its references not only met but came to be in the first place. Back tracking. My work very much embraces tonality (when sampling, i'm just as much listening carefully to the recording tone as i am any musical phrases in the recording, in order to bring out what i can from the background resonance or whatever may be at play) and audio manipulation, for example, building loops and songs so that i might chop it and its components into slices and further/differ the scope of the tools and confines i have to work within. I've had various releases and collaborations since 2005, varying in depth and aesthetic. **gross blank point** (2007) An album with collaborators from all around the world including Albert Gauthier, BrokeMC, Max Heath and Audio 88. the project was pressed to 350 disks in sleeves with album art. This artist featured live during the album launch, where he was painting custom trainers and mini canvases. **weirdo at work** (2009) One continuous 20+ minute piece of audio comprised of a patchwork of varied audio experiments rooted in analogue hip hop. This EP is found on bandcamp.
