Tony Bui, a.k.a. Ducka Shan, is a well-known San Francisco area progressive and electro house DJ. Tony has spun at well-known San Francisco clubs, including The Grand and 1015 Folsom alongside prominent local DJs such as Darude, Dyloot, St. John, and DJ Taj. Tony made headlines after UK-based Filthy Groovin Records released his debut track Cobra and follow-up Cosmic Dreamer. He also recently released his first EP Dynamite on Germany’s Silvana Records. Tony grew up in a musical family – his father was a drummer. After listening to EDM at age 15, Tony dreamed he could be the DJ rocking the crowd. He began remixing and producing in his bedroom, spending countless hours learning the art of DJing. Tony’s early work was inspired by Laidback Luke, Sander van Doorn, and especially Tiësto – an artist whose passion for music Tony has modeled himself after. By age 20, Tony was spinning for crowds. He began at small raves and neighborhood bars in San Francisco – sometimes lugging his DJ equipment in and asking to play for a free drink. Tony passed out CDs of his mixes after each event. Soon, promoters from some of San Francisco’s most prominent clubs were calling him for shows. Tony has gained a worldwide fanbase from his monthly podcast Sounds of Love. He’s also gained attention from music blog postings and by entering contests, including EDC ChicagoDiscovery Project where he placed 7th. Tony’s worldwide presence has caught the attention of The Chainsmokers, Justin Prime, Kenneth G, Fedde Le Grand, Ralvero, and Fatman Scoop, to name a few. Tony is currently in the studio working on a new EP The Rule scheduled for release in late summer. He’s also hitting the road, with upcoming shows on the East Coast and in Southern California. “This is what I love to do,” mentions Tony. “I look forward to seeing you at my next event.” Ducka Shan _Website not available.
