I’m a fiction writer currently finishing up my third book who likes nothing better than a creative challenge. I love to wrestle a sentence into shape and transform a client’s notes into a piece of engaging, cohesive copy. I’m full of ideas and bring an ability to always find a solution to a problem. I’ve been self-employed almost all of my life and so have the discipline and infrastructure to turn work around quickly and professionally. I’m happy to take on ideas and incorporate as they evolve and am always on hand for a rewrite until you are completely happy.
After years as a professional broadcaster I now have my own home studio so that I may continue building my voiceover portfolio. I have voiced over shows for the BBC, STV, Discovery and Channel 4

Experience
The Scotsman, The List, Daily Record / Columnist and Features
September 1998 onwards
I was a columnist for national newspapers, the main part of the job being to either respond to a topic set by my editor or create a talk piece from nothing that would engage casual readers. The turnarounds were brutal and the delivery window non-negotiable, but I believe it is the discipline I developed to meet these goals that sets me above the rest.
