Hello, I'm Melissa Peterman, I'm a freelance artist with a focus on Game Design. I graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Game Art and an Associate in Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design, My best skill is anything regarding Concept Art: character, creature, item, environment, UI, et cetera. I mainly work in 2D, but I do have experience in 3D modeling and texturing using 3Ds Max and ZBrush. While I have no official work experience so far, I wouldn't say I've been unproductive. Along side of my hunt for an artist role, I've been designing two games. The first and longest project I've spent working on is a side-scrolling pixel game. The second is a recently new visual novel. Both games are story focused with themes of unsuspecting suspense and horror. While neither game is complete yet, whether it be from programming inexperience (the pixel game) or just still working on it (the visual novel), it doesn't mean my work hasn't been for nothing. If anything, it helps improve my game design skills and I can use the assets from my games as examples of what I can do. I hope one day, I can have a job doing what I love, making games.

    uniE621 Forest Concepts: Finals
It is part of a video game pitch I made for my finals in college. The pitch is about a creature summoning/battling mobile game called "Alcheme". These are environment concepts for a forest setting where the player would go to scavenge for ingredients. These are declared "final concepts" not because they are final choice for the the environment will be, but because they were worked on/updated to the point where they are no longer concepts and are instead just full-on drawings/illustration. #designer
