First and foremost, I am a Christian. I believe I should use my God-given gifts for his glory. I am Luke Patterson, a 19 year-old (as of February, 2024) living in rural Washington state. I am very passionate about music and writing- I love the theory and structure of music, as well as the creativity of new poems and songs. I have no college education, and apart from working construction for about half a year, no professional experience. I was, however, a standout student in my small high school, with a cumulative 4.0 GPA, 1470 SAT score, and experience as both class representative and school president. I do have a YouTube channel where I share some of my strange projects- mostly original songs and arrangements. If you do check out "Slightly Dehydrated Pelican," I am most proud of my "State Facts Rap," particularly the clever lyrics. I will leave a link to the channel: _Website not available. This song summarizes Shakespeare's Hamlet, taking a playful, satirical point of view on a play that can be summarized rather accurately by saying "everyone dies". The lyrics were originally part of a school assignment, then I recorded an instrumental track on the keyboard sequencer and combined it with stick-figure doodles. What results will not disappoint, especially if you have any familiarity with the plot. #Shakespeare #Hamlet
uniE608 Of Almonds and Peanuts, I Favor the Latter
This is a poem I wrote for school and put to music I composed. Over the course of the song, you will be presented with lyrics conveying a man's passionate preference for one condiment over another.
    uniE608 Random State Facts Rap
I wrote a Dr. Seuss-style poem containing one random and interesting fact for each state (except two for Connecticut). I then put it to a beat and a piano riff.
    uniE621 Corsair's Cove Arrangement
For my senior culminating project in high school, I decided to arrange ten pieces of Pac-Man World music for piano. I completed and printed all ten scores, and gave an extensive presentation on my work. This is the second level in the game, Corsair's Cove. The music has a relaxed pirate-feel, containing accordion and woodwinds. The picture is only the first of two pages.
    uniE621 Four-Stanza Riddle
This is a riddle I wrote for a family contest. I folded them into origami squirrels, gave them out with an explanation, and told them to unfold. I intentionally made it rather difficult, but the answer is both attainable and satisfactory.
