BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Ekmektsoglou Manolis was born in 25/04/1986 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is currently a PhD student of the University of York. His works have been performed in Greece, UK, Hong Kong and Italy. Most notable moments include performance by the trio Andersson – Gallois – De Saram (June 2015) and the selection of his solo cello piece “Greetings, in G8 Countries Conference” to be recorded in the anthology of the SOUNDIFF project in Italy. Also, his piece “Motion, in two” for solo violin was among the selected pieces of the National Call for scores organized by the University of York in UK for Peter Sheppard Skærved.
