I am Raquel and here is my presentation to show my interest in jobs openings looking for an illustrator, art director or designer. I have experience working remotely as a freelancer with teams of 3 to 10 people. My academic training takes place at the University of the Basque Country, degree in Art. Specializing with a Postgraduate in Illustration and Visual Communication at the School of Art and Design, Eina in Barcelona. After finishing the Postgraduate in 2018 I had the pleasure of taking internships with Alexis and Carlos at Vostok Printing Shop, both have helped me to professionalize myself both with pre-printing and post-printing materials, as well as with other more specific processes of handmade packaging and color management, both traditional and digital. I consider myself to be a versatile and decisive person with experience in the world of design, art direction and illustration. I have experience self-managing several projects like different types of arts, character design, graphic novels, concept art. My experience with Adobe programs is extensive, mastering Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. As an artist my most develop skills are color and composition, give the art in question a story behind. This makes very clear for the team where we are going in the project and what we want to achieve. One last skill that I would like to highlight is the experience of five years in screen printing and engraving techniques. I started to develop them in the production of my projects for self-publishing and it has influenced my way of designing bringing different facets to the projects I do. Completing the digital techniques with traditional techniques, if the campaign requires it or can add to it. These projects highlights the use of dissident and inclusive themes for the LGTBIQ+ community. My last professional experience as an employee has been in the company Artipas or Cake Decor located in El Papiol, Barcelona. In which I completed a team of four people with whom we built, in addition to all the necessary graphic and communicative part for Artipas (B2B), a new ecommerce about dessert food aimed at the domestic public (B2C). Among the tasks I performed were the Art Direction of the project, along with the development of the visual and communication, building the entire graphic image of the new company as well as carrying out graphic design and editorial tasks involving Artipas as the creation of icons, layout for catalogs, newsletters, among others like email managing or other assistant task that was required in the Arts position. I am fluent in Spanish (native language) and English (C1 level), speaking and writing fluently in an international environment.
