Working in the VFX / CGI industry I’ve provided technical support for multiple major movies, TV commercials, Theme Park attractions, video game trailers, and VR projects. In my previous roles I’ve been a Render Wrangler, Data Management Specialist, and System Administrator. While working in small teams I’ve worn many hats. I have experience providing Pipeline / VFX Engineering support to demanding productions that require a tight deadline, as well. I have worked as a Houdini FX Artist in the Advertising Industry creating FX for video game trailers for such clients as Oculus and Microsoft. Some of the software that I’ve used in production are Houdini FX, Maya, Cinema 4D, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, and Nuke. I’ve used Redshift, Vray, Mantra, and Karma for rendering. I have experience scripting in Python, VEX, and Hscript. In my latest role as a Technical Artist I was able to mix my creative and technical experience together. Currently I’m mainly working in Houdini as a generalist. Creating 3D models, shading, look development, FX simulation setup, and optimization. I author HDA tools out of Houdini with in depth documentation that can be utilized in an art team. I’m always in tune with the latest technology to help implement new techniques and workflows into any infrastructure.
