Bryce Garrison Raburn, also known as BGR, is a 21-year-old producer, arranger, programmer, and musician from Milledgeville, Georgia. Growing up in a musical family, music has always been in his life. His father is a high school band director and his mother a teacher. He grew up learning to hear and feel his way around music, along with his three brothers, who also play instruments. BGR began playing drums at age 2 and started taking piano lessons at age 8. Since then, he has continued to play at church on Sundays. In 2011, 10-year-old BGR began to create music on his father's laptop, using GarageBand as his go-to program. He used GarageBand to create an album, which he sold to family and friends. With the proceeds, he bought his own computer so he could focus on music creation. He continued to make tracks and write songs for fun up until the summer of 2015, when he went to a music camp in Nashville, Tennessee. At Camp Electric, he was in a keys class whose instructor was Mr. Talkbox, who BGR has greatly looked up to. Mr. Talkbox told him to stick around after class after hearing one of his beats as the class produced a song together. Mr. Talkbox introduced him to his son, Lil Byron, and the two began a friendship that would lead to big steps in their music journeys. BGR credits Lil Byron as the person who inspired him to go into music production full time. He continued to build his connections to artists and fellow producers around his hometown and throughout the music industry. In 2018, BGR was blessed to produce a track on a remix album for one of his childhood influences: Mr. Talkbox. BGR describes it as a dream come true. In early 2020, BGR was also given one of the greatest opportunities of his career: to be one of the producers on Mr. Talkbox's hit album "Playlist". Today, BGR continues to learn, create, develop, and help music producers and artists find their unique sound. He believes everyone has their own life soundtrack that they can translate into music, and he hopes to help people discover their soundtrack in any way he can. BGR is not afraid to be out of his comfort zone in music. He hopes to finish his life with at least one song from every genre as a musician and producer. His goal is to work with all types of musicians and artists because he believes that the world is better with music, and every contribution matters, big or small.
