Dave is a composer and sound designer who’s professional collaborations with directors, producers and other creatives spans almost two decades. His career began and is still rooted in music composition. Dave’s love of continuous learning and pushing his boundaries led him to start exploring other aspects of the audio department: sound design, foley, re-recording mixing and even location sound. Dave started piano at the age of five and continued studying classical piano through high school. He studied at the University of Western Ontario where he received a degree in Music Education. Subsequent to that he received a Masters of Business Administration degree from McMaster University. After a decade-long career in computer systems consulting, Dave turned back to the arts - specifically film composing - after working at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. Dave has recently relocated to Toronto with his wife and little dog.
