Jude Duane is a New Jersey-based composer and sound artist. A pianist since kindergarten and a trombonist since 4th grade, music has long been an integral part of his life. Music provided Jude, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, a means to comfortably communicate with his community, and this comfort eventually led him to composing. He began writing music during high school and received his Bachelor of Music degree at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Currently, Jude is in graduate school studying to be a music archivist at Rutgers University. Recent premieres of Jude’s music have included “Piano (The Old Sunday Evenings)” with the Montclair State University Singers and “Peace Flows Into Me” with the Hillsborough High School Mixed Choir. In addition, he oversaw releases of his music in collaboration with Portal Musik and the Kompass Ensemble.
