Nice to meet you, I'm Grace. I am 30 years old, an experienced artist, and qualified teacher of art. I completed my BA in Fine Art with Contemporary Practice in 2014 at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, UK. I completed my PGCE in Secondary Art and Design teaching at Goldsmiths University in 2018. As well as being a professional teacher, I am currently working on my art practice at home and I can work to commission with client's briefs, and am a versatile artist with many different skills and ideas to help you with your project from whichever stage it is beginning at. I specialise in reality pencil drawing, as well as abstract painting, acrylic and watercolour, illustrations, seascapes, landscapes and nature, in a variety of media including printmaking, pencil, even glass art! My arts industry experience before teaching includes an eclectic background, I have worked as a painting assistant for Damien Hirst, as an arts administrator, as an intern for the Royal Opera House model room and art department; I have been featured in a number of exhibitions including most recently the ING Discerning Eye 2020, a prestigious edition last year held online. I was awarded a bursary for Young Artist of the Year in 2013 for the Herefordshire Art Week. I am friendly and professional to work with, have excellent time keeping, organisation and can produce high quality work to tight deadlines if something great is needed in a short space of time. I look forward to working with you and making your creative ideas come to life. I have also written and created illustrations for an original children's story book. I can create illustrations in this field, as well as illustrations for adults and all other genres. In addition to my art skills, I write songs, sing, play piano and compose music. I have completed a course in contemporary music singing and theory at the London Centre for Contemporary Music in 2009, and since then recorded, played open mics, entered songwriting competitions, most recently being awarded 5 stars and a highly commended entry with the UK Songwriting Contest. I can put original melodies to words as well as words to music, and am excited to work with you on your upcoming musical project.
