TRNK: Textile Designer

Textile Designer is needed in United States.

Textile Designer wanted to join TRNK - a design studio and curatorial platform that celebrates the role of art and design in intimate, livable spaces. They celebrate evolving concepts of how and with whom they share space in contemporary society as a minority and LGBTQ+ owned business.

New brand initiatives, such as their ongoing series of digital exhibitions, explore issues of race, identity, and cultural bias in design while supporting organizations such as the Ali Forney Center and The Black Youth Project 100.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with their company’s founder on new product design initiatives for their namesake TRNK Collection, spanning a variety of product categories.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with an interest in product and textile design. The position requires a weekly commitment of 5-10 hours and is mostly remote.

Responsibilities:

• Fabric design for upholstery, textile accessories, bedding, and rugs.
• Fabricator tech packs and schematics.
• Material sourcing and product inspiration research

Requirements:

• A textile design degree.
• Textile design experience and a portfolio.
