Rooster Teeth Animation is looking for a 3D Animator!

At Rooster Teeth, animators must be skilled with cameras in action scenes and possess a solid understanding of body mechanics and movement timing. They should be able to handle multiple shots on their plate at once and have some past expertise as an animator working with TV/series quotas. Their reel should show that they can manage shots of speech and action or combat in a sequence.

Duties:

Using Maya, you’ll be in charge of creating animated material.

To ensure that the shows have the proper appearance and feel, collaborate with the animation director, supervisor, and leads while efficiently presenting and responding to criticism and evaluations.

Observe established standards for file organisation, project management, and version control.

Utilize production tracking software, time management strategies, and self-evaluation to fulfil deadlines and milestones.

Work together with the leadership to correctly document the pipeline’s production rules.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience working in a production setting
• Bachelor’s degree or a similar level of expertise
• Extensive knowledge of Autodesk Maya required, Shotgun Studio and Adobe - Creative Cloud experience are plusses.
• Strong storytelling visual sense (emphasis on character performance, fight choreography, shot composition, and timing)
• Strong familiarity with the fundamentals of animation
• Strong leadership qualities and a drive to succeed on their own will enable the team finish projects on time.
• Effective in teamwork
• Motion capture prior experience is a plus.
