WildBrain Spark: Production Assistant (Freelance)

Production Assistant is needed in London, United Kingdom.

Hybrid FTC work: Euston (London) & Remote Work

Job Description:

In your role as a production assistant at WildBrain Spark, you will support the producers and ensure that everything goes according to plan so that the project is completed on time and to budget. Additionally, you will assist the production crew.

Additionally, you will assist the production crew and report to the Producer/Senior Producer, as well as the Creative Producer.

Primary Duties:

• On a daily basis, assist the producer or senior producer.

• Gather input from the Creative Producer and provide it to the customer through email while carefully adhering to a template.

• Following a timeline that the Production Manager has assigned

• Ensuring that files are located correctly so that the post-production crew may access them

• Ensuring that Editors have access to all necessary files.

• Closely adhering to any additional producer briefs

Additional Duties:

• Lead on all administrative and coordination actions, including asset and data management, schedule management, and supplier management.

• Work cooperatively with all teams to ensure that we deliver using all of the company’s strengths (Marketing, Commercial, Distribution, Data, Post Production)

• Discuss deadlines with vendors and independent contractors.

• Keep the project within its budget and on schedule.

• Work on numerous intricate shows with frequently clashing timetables

• When necessary, quickly locate new vendors, locations, and staff.

• Flexibility and knowledge of the many projects’ roles and responsibilities

• Play a crucial part in the relationships and smooth handoffs between teams and suppliers.

Background & Experience:

• A familiarity with the animation production process
• QC animation files across the series and the ability to detect animation inaccuracies (colour check, scale and layer issues, continuity flaws)
• Modifying digital assets from the planning stage to delivery
• Understanding of the digital content business and its production methods (experience in the kids market preferable)
• Knowledge of managing relationships with external clients
• Experience multitasking and working under time constraints on a variety of complicated tasks
• It’s preferred to work with narrative content, short form, or specifically YouTube.
• Confidence in one’s ability to read creative briefs or in one’s own creative judgement
• Talents in management, leadership, and negotiation, as well as the capacity to inspire and nurture multi-functional teams.
