As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun. We are excited to be rebooting the much-loved Fable franchise and are expanding our diverse team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Cinematic Director to develop the direction for cinematics across the project. You will share the objective to create and deliver an industry defining vision for in-game cinematics as well as collaborating with the team to implement them. You must be creatively driven, detailed oriented, able to champion and inspire unique cinematic solutions with both the cinematics team and the larger project. We also welcome all candidates who have convertible creative skills and want to move into Cinematic Direction – an appetite for learning and creative challenges are a must.

This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Able to work with Cinematic Director to build and maintain cinematic vision for the game.
• Exceptional skills in cinematic direction and the ability to present the vision to align the larger team.
• Understanding of the cinematic pipeline and processes from conception to final implementation.
• Practical knowledge of current 3D software (Maya, 3DS Max and Motionbuilder).
• Ability to collaborate well with artists, writers, designers, and programmers.
• Expert understanding of storytelling and cinematic principles and techniques.
• A keen observational eye for detail.
• Strong editorial experience and instincts.
• Ability to direct and work with actors.
• Highly concise critical reasoning skills with the ability to curate strong performances and ideas.
• A self-motivated team player capable of learning new techniques and educating others.
• Previous experience liaising with remote or outsource agents.
