Powered by the legendary Universal Music Group and working with our global network of artists and creatives, Mercury Studios develops, produces, and distributes award-winning and world-class music content. We are currently looking for a full-time Production Co-ordinator to work within our multi-faceted content studio.

Our 12 month fixed term role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in Mercury Studios’ Production department, working across digital, live streaming, branded content, Podcasts and long form content production. You will be an integral part of the production team in delivering work that will continue to define us as one of the world’s leading music content creators.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

From initial production planning of development ideas to production and then delivery you will work across the entire lifecycle of all production output from Mercury Studios - working alongside our team of production and postproduction managers and creative stakeholders.

This role will include tasks including (but not limited to)

• Be across multiple projects concurrently at different stages of production.
• Handle complex logistics for UK and International shoots.
• Draft contracts with talent, suppliers, locations.
• Create Risk Assessments.
• Set up insurance for productions.
• General admin of spreadsheets and databases.
• Help onboarding and set up new freelance team.
• Draft budgets for small productions.
• Gather information needed to obtain sustainability certification and carbon offsetting for projects.
• Support other production within the UMG team
• Work closely with the internal post team and ensure projects are delivered on time and on spec.
• Oversee in house camera and audio equipment.
• Work with suppliers and technicians to work out the best solutions for Livestreaming and Broadcasting from venues and remote locations.
• Maintain relationships with all vendors.
• Ensure all kit is checked over and prepped ahead of shoots.

Person Specification

Necessary

• At least 5 Years working at a Production Coordinator level.
• A strong understanding and passion of production requirements across a range of formats:
• Knowledge of all production stages from budget to delivery.
• An understanding of Microsoft office, in particular Excel.
• Understanding the postproduction process of TV & Film productions.

Desirable

• An interest in researching new pieces of technology.
• An active interest in camera and lighting kit.
• Experience with budgeting
• Ability to support the creative team in getting their ideas to paper from a production view.
• Be able to work effectively on larger and smaller scale productions, often in big teams or independently.
• An understanding of online storage spaces like Sony Ci.
• Ability to quickly create proxies of media files.
• Driver’s license and a willingness to travel for shoots.
• Experience working within the music industry or with high end talent.
