This position is a FTC contract for a maternity cover.

Reviews all designs and products submitted by defined key partners through WB product development/approval process. This position is instrumental in ensuring that innovative and exciting graphic content and product design is continually developed by Warner Bros. Consumer Products for both internal and external use.

Works with Creative/PD to ensure that licensees produce compelling product that best represents our brands at retail.

Work on priority design assignments specific to the French Fashion & Home business as required.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Provide concept, design and product development support, working with key internal and external clients and other artists/designers to accurately complete assigned briefs.
  • Review, approve and or reject product submissions for defined clients to ensure all submissions are on trend, meet brand guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Partner with WBCP departmental experts to protect all trademarks and copyrights. Follow up with licensees regarding merchandise development and production and audits licensee compliance to Brand Assurance procedures.
  • With knowledge of the manufacturing process and a knowledge of Warner Bros. policies and procedures and brand guidelines reviews and provides detailed comments on the concept, pre-production, and final samples submitted by defined licensees on items including but not limited to product, packaging, commercials, POP and POS.
  • Acts as the brand ambassador on all product development submissions making decisions if the product is on brand strategy, creative strategy, and product quality.
  • Maintains one to one relationships with key license counterparts, such as designers, artist, sculptors, etc.to ensure understanding and a smooth working PD approval process. Interacts with licensee sculptors and designer. Provide direction on character likeness. Obtains all necessary third-party approvals from Sales, Marketing, EMEA Creative/PD & BA.
  • Understand fashion vision and trends related to Fashion & Home products across all segments.
  • Ability to design balanced graphic elements (using colour, icon size and space relationships) needed to develop product for Fashion & Home.
  • Conduct trend research regarding design influences, illustration, graphics and products via comp shops, trade shows, online etc.
  • Produce fresh, compelling design pitches that meet the business needs as required.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • BA or master’s degree in Fashion design
  • A First experience in product design.
  • Must have technical understanding of the construction of products and components regarding design and development.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present vision and ideas.
  • Team player and problem solver.
  • Temperament to work under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Creative Suite packages.
  • Additional computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and French
