This role of Associate UX/UI Designer will be part of the Design System team supporting the our clients portfolio of products. This is a collaborative and passionate team of UX and UI/Visual designers committed to working together to drive consistent, intuitive, and stunning experiences for our end users.
Your Day-To-Day:
Collaborate & support Design System teammates to enable the delivery of experiences that meet both user and business goals
Through an iterative practice contribute to the Convergence Design System delivering a consistent and integrated experience across all products
Provide design support to senior-level team members for product features or enhancements via:
- Conceptual visualization
- User experience design
- UI anatomy & behaviors
- Research
- Interactive prototypes
- Pixel perfect UI design
- Identify, understand, design, and communicate UX/UI best practices verbally and through design execution
- Presentation of deliverables to other designers and product design team members
- Work closely with developers to ensure design integrity in final product
Skills and knowledge most relevant to the job:
- Thorough UX and UI design knowledge, including an understanding of user-centered design and design best practices
- Comfortable with creating design documentation in Figma
- Familiarity with design systems, combined with a basic understanding design systems and web components
- Capable self-starter, strong collaboration, able to work inter-dependently, and perform tasks under minimal supervision
- Familiarity with current and emerging technology, trends, standards, and devices
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in UX or Visual Design, Human Factors, or related field
1-3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer in:
web-based, mobile and desktop software applications
defining, developing, and documenting UX design and interaction requirements and specifications
Thorough knowledge in UX design and documentation applications (wireframing, prototype development) in Figma
Demonstrated talent in UI complexities such as cross-browser requirements, responsive & adaptive design, and accessibility standards
Familiarity with front-end technologies, including CSS3, HTML5 and JS standards
Portfolio with projects demonstrating process (conceptualization through realization), visual style and design work with the ability to talk through design reasoning.
