Gig Summary:

We are looking for two professional Photographers to capture dance competitions running in Pittsburgh, PA May 5th - May 7th 2023.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that your camera bodies/lens are in good working order along with your company provided laptop
• Providing a high level of professionalism and customer service to our clients while at competitions
• Capturing apx. 30 well timed clicks for a Solo/Duet/Trio and apx. 60 well timed clicks for group performance
• Adjusting your camera settings such as exposure as needed
• NO EDITING IS REQUIRED
• Collaborating with other DanceBUG representatives while at the event (other videographers/photographers)
• Traveling by car to your assigned event

What we are Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years working as a photographer OR an exceptional portfolio demonstrating superior skill in lieu of formal experience. (Experience shooting live action is an asset)
• 2 suitable professional caliber DSLR/Mirrorless camera bodies (1 primary body/1 backup)
• Strong knowledge of camera settings with an ability to shoot in low/dynamic lighting conditions
• Must have a 24-70 F2.8 AND 70-200 F2.8 lens at a minimum (or something comparable)
• Comfortable with computers/tech and learning new software
• Meticulous and Detailed Oriented
• Some experience and understanding of Data Management and preparing backups
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Comfortable functioning with ambiguity (at times)
• Superior interpersonal skills, comfortable meeting and collaborating with new people each week (both clients and teammates)
• Capacity to remain calm under pressure, problem solve if needed, and stay positive
• Available to work the duration of the event, dates listed above
• Valid Driver’s License
• Comfortable working apx. 12-14 hours per day as needed
• Comfortable driving apx. 5 hours as needed
• Able to lift apx. 25 lbs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Able to pass a vulnerable sector and criminal background check

Compensation:

• $300 per day along with all paid expenses (Food, Hotel, Flights, Car Rentals, Gas, etc.)
