Job Description:

As a Temporary Junior Video Producer at Forbes, you will be a valued member of the department responsible for spreading Forbes’ high-quality journalism and content. Your role will involve covering breaking news and politics, and you will report to the Deputy Director, Breaking News Video. The shift for this role will be either Mondays through Fridays, 10 am - 6 pm or 2 pm - 10 pm. Responsibilities include posting content to YouTube, creating original text, photo, and video content for the YouTube channel, clipping video of breaking news events and press conferences, and potentially writing articles and creating videos if there is an interest.

Requirements:

• A team player with a good sense of humor, open to offering and receiving ideas
• Strong editorial judgment with a keen understanding of news, politics, and business
• Strategic thinker who can manage multiple news events simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
• Basic-to-intermediate familiarity and experience with creative apps like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
• 1-2 years of experience working in news, politics, or social media

Additional Information:

• The hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $24.00
• Forbes offers a hybrid work schedule with some roles being remote within the U.S.
