Copywriter (Remote)

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Copywriter to join our client for a remote position! The Copywriter is primarily responsible for writing copy for the external communication and sales promotional efforts of the client. The primary focus being on consume-focused health and wellness materials and social media. This Contract-to-Possible Hire opportunity is offering $26.67-$36.66/HR!

Responsibilities of the Copy Writer include:

• Writes copy for marketing support, sales promotion, and other external communication needs. Collateral includes product brochures, direct mail, social media, and educational materials. Must be able to gain an understanding of all product lines and services, as well as the overall communication objectives of the client.
• Writes copy for various media formats. Must have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of writing copy for print, web, social media, and audio-visual.
• Proofread, review, and edit materials for accurate use of grammar and content. Make stylistic, compositional, factual, and grammatical corrections. Ensure adherence to corporate writing styles. Must develop expert knowledge of Gregg Style Manual and client-specific guidelines for external communications.
• Meets with internal clients to determine project requirements, then coordinates projects through internal review process, acting as the project’s point person for Creative Services. Works with internal clients to meet appropriate timeframe and budget.
• Communicates effectively with project coordinators, designers, production staff, and social media specialists to seek information and resolve questions regarding the text and technical aspects of printed and digital components. Make recommendations to designers regarding placement, format, and emphasis of text. Must have knowledge of multiple content styles.
• Checks facts, phone numbers, web site addresses, table of contents, index, and other references. Make sure source material is cited where applicable.
• Verify logo and disclaimer information accuracy. Must develop comprehensive knowledge of the corporate style guide, including client entities, their logo identity, and appropriate disclaimer text.
• Works with social media and SEO professionals to develop and execute social media strategy including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Originate and develop lifestyle, wellness, and product blogs, optimizing for readability and search engine performance.
• Attends project and inter-departmental meetings, representing Creative Services, as the point person for particular projects. Recommends creative strategy to management and works with production staff to determine costs and timeframes.

Qualifications of the Copywriter include:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, or Journalism
• 3 - 5 years developing promotional communications in the health care industry
• Detail-oriented individual with an excellent knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Must be able to focus on written work for extended periods.
• Demonstrated writing and presentation skills required, with working knowledge of design and print production, social media platforms, digital copy development, as well as mail fulfillment processes.
• Writing samples required.
