Essential Job Duties

This role will report to the Assistant Vice Provost of Marketing within the marketing department and will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of the websites, conference marketing materials, as well as other marketing initiatives. Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead and consult in the design and development of print and web design projects for a variety of clients for departments.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in the area of graphic design, web design, typography, layout, and composition, as well as brand management.
  • Provide conceptual and stylistic creative direction in support of internal marketing communications, external marketing, and campus outreach.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress website design and development.
  • Working knowledge of email design and development processes.
  • Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and FTP, or at least willing to learn.
  • Interest in working with analytics to inform best practices for website design and development strategies.
  • Utilize project and asset management tools to efficiently organize and keep track of marketing and design assets.
  • Consult and collaborate with marketing staff to define, educate, and inform applications for multimedia, web design, and visual communications strategies.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams on building efficiencies, shared vision, and production workflow for marketing and advertising media development.
  • Collaborate with teams as it pertains to the department’s brand, vision, and mission.

With supervisor approval, this role allows for hybrid scheduling flexibility. It is anticipated that a minimum of 50% of the work will be conducted on-site.

Experience:

  • Print design layout – InDesign
  • Working knowledge of WordPress website design and development.
  • Working knowledge of email design and development processes.
  • Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and FTP, or at least willing to learn.
  • Interest in working with analytics to inform best practices for website design and development strategies.
