The Walmart Design team creates experiences and designs the websites, tools, and mobile solutions for millions of customers and associates. As a part of the Product Design team that is at the forefront of retail, you will be responsible for building best-in-class experiences that drive continuous improvement and innovation on the world’s largest company. Position Summary: Product Designer

As a Product Designer, you’ll transform complex workflows and information into easy-to-use experience design. You’ll use our Design System to deliver better, more consistent experiences at scale. And you’ll influence that System with new components. You’ll build on your storytelling skills to present product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the team. You will create experiences that are highly usable before delivering spec-perfect designs.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Creating usable and delightful experiences for our customers.
  • Identifying research opportunities to learn from our customers.
  • Creating prototypes to test and communicate your designs.
  • Leveraging our Design System to create consistent and cohesive solutions.

  • Demonstrating curiosity about industry trends and how they apply to our work.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar and 2+ years of experience in product design.
  • Have a fantastic portfolio of elegant design solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 2 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
