Part-Time Free Lance Digital Designer

Viking Pest, the leading regional pest control company, is looking for a part-time free lance hybrid digital designer to join our dynamic team, working on various projects ranging from Web, Print, Digital, and video.

We seek a dependable, detail-loving, and motivated individual to work independently and with the group. You will have a direct impact on designs and help drive attention to our brand. Viking Pest is seeking a part-time employee who can commit to a scheduled weekly time. This is a hybrid remote position, meaning applicants must live within driving distance of Basking Ridge, NJ, and can come into the office to work and collaborate. Work from home is possible after training and once the designer becomes familiar with our brands.

Design projects may include, but are not limited to:

• Print and digital ads
• Direct mail marketing
• Social media posts
• Brochures/info sheets
• Layout & image preparation for web updates
• Create and update fillable PDF forms
• Motion graphics & animation for digital ads and videos
• Environmental Graphics: sign, banners, window/door graphics, billboards, trade show display, etc.
• Vehicle wrap graphics
• Promotional items/advertising specialties
• PowerPoint presentations

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite apps (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, After Effects)
• Proficiency in Affinity apps (Publisher, Designer, Photo) is a plus but not a requirement
• Proficiency in MS Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Understanding of web design with the ability to create layouts and graphics for our web developers
• The ability to work with WordPress and basic HTML and CSS is a plus but not necessary.
• Understanding of print production and ability to prepare press-ready files for ads and printed material
• Understanding of digital media with the ability to prepare ads and social media posts to fit necessary sizes, file formats, and other requirements
• Ability to apply creative solutions while adhering to branding guidelines
• Ability to apply design concepts to multiple brands since we also support other companies owned by the same parent company
• Ability to cooperate with others to contribute ideas, take direction and consider suggestions.
