Job Description

HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a senior UX Designer to work closely with many different internal product teams and partner with designers across the landscape of tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI design, UCD, HCI or related field of study or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in product/user experience design, preferably in gaming, research or e-commerce adjacent industries
• Advanced skills in all the following: user centered design methodologies; creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity; UI design, including current industry best-practice in UI standards, and accessibility requirements, for web and mobile
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence
• Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process
• Demonstrable experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practices
• Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment
• Strong presentation skills to share your work with credibility, clarity and confidence
• Experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions
• Practical understanding (including capabilities, patterns and limitations) of current technologies used to build rich experiences in responsive web and native mobile large enterprise apps

• Experience defining product strategy and vision
• Experience supporting a complex ecosystem with multiple products
• Comfortable working on a distributed team and collaborating remotely
• Ability to balance great design solutions with an iterative, agile approach

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation.
• Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
• Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value.
• Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions.
• Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements.
• Contribute to efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes.
• Participate/lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges.

Commitment

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be remote and available to candidates local to West Coast states. Preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Redmond, WA area.
