Revolt Black News, Documentary and Alternative Programming is the development and production arm of REVOLT media company. It is our role to produce original content and develop relationships with talent, producers, and directors in our unique space. We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights.
What You’ll Do:
- Create, produce and develop original, creative content across all RBN digital and social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube.
- Plan, select, and secure video and images for RBN Weekly video wall.
- Maintain proper care and maintenance of video equipment, video editing and finishing
- Produce, shoot, and edits social content that breaks through the noise
- Make on-brand artistic and technical decisions for lighting, camera coverage, shooting style, and location
- Work closely with RBNW Producers, Newsdesk, Social/Digital Strategists, Designers, Managers, and Post-Production to execute assignments, concept new content ideas, and optimize based on performance
- Conducts research for upcoming projects and other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in news/digital programming at a premium network, media/publishing company producing compelling visual content.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or film
- Portfolio/reel that showcases a strong visual story-telling background, as a proficient camera operator and an experienced editor.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated problem-solver with ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines and manage simultaneous projects.
- Package various content with Adobe Suites, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and
- Can adapt to change quickly.
- On the pulse of HipHop and Black culture, well-versed in news, social media trends and content strategies.
- A self starter who can hit the ground running and work effectively in team environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
