Contract: Part-time, Contract

Summary

Under general direction the Production Videographer creates multi-camera, TV quality coverage of local government meetings and other events.

Job Functions

  • Government Access Meeting Videographer: Responsible for providing live and/or delayed coverage of government meetings in a multi-camera PTZ production set up, overseeing all audio and video aspects of an assigned government meeting.
  • Government Access Site Videographer: Responsible for providing live and/or delayed coverage of government events or off-site meetings throughout our communities. This includes setup and breakdown of assigned equipment.
  • Production Crew: Occasional work as a crew on ‘truck’ productions, such as live sports or other community events under the direction of a Production Specialist. Assisting in all aspects of production including set-up and teardown.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with government employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time including at a computer
  • Reaching bending, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule largely consisting of afternoon and evening events.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from event venues

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Deliver consistent, excellent service to governments, colleagues, and community partners
  • Strong commitment to the mission of community media; prior experience in community media is a plus
  • Experience in video production environments (preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per day
