Job Description

Frisco School of Music and Performing Arts is hiring fun drummers for beginner to intermediate students ages 6-teen, and adult (ages range based on each instrument in the school). Teach the songs and styles you LOVE! Must read lead sheets/music clefs/tabs/charts etc. (MUST BE FLUENT IN DRUMS TO APPLY)

Teach Lessons - Part Time - On Campus Only

TEACH the music you LOVE. Help beginning through intermediate students learn their instrument of choice through pop, rock, classical and contemporary music. Teachers must read charts, tabs, treble clef notation, rhythmic notation, and help students with printed music theory books associated with your instrument.

Largest private music and arts school in the North Texas area. Over 1200 students, 40-50 teachers, open 6 days a week, 33 professional teaching studios and classrooms, and our own Frisco Performing Arts Center on campus for all shows and events.

Instructors Needed

We can fill your teaching day! Teaching schedule to begin in August 2023-July 2024.

PAID for STUDENT no-shows

We pay 50% of your FICA taxes (you are an employee not a contracted position)

Great holiday time off (see our calendar on our website)

We book students for you/filling your schedule, no lesson plans (curriculum fully provided), we do the advertising, we do the parent emailing… everything is done for you… you just come on campus and teach what you love… getting the students to love it just like you do!!!

Instructor Job Description

Texas’ #1 rated music school is currently seeking part-time employees to work as instructors at our Frisco location. Instructors provide personalized lessons for kids and teens in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Our clean, spacious lesson rooms are equipped with all necessary educational materials, as well as state-of-the art technology stations.

After School/Evening/Weekend Teaching

Choose Your Days … Open six days a week! PART-TIME: Weekday and Saturday schedule to fit your availability during these times:

• Monday - Thursday 3:30-9:00 pm
• Friday 3:30-7:00 pm
• Saturday 9:30am-1:30 pm

You can teach one or more days depending on availability (up to 6 days a week).

Instructor Responsibilities

• To deliver personalized, one-on-one private lessons
• To deliver encouraging beginner group lessons (if scheduled)
• To perform duties in accordance with company education and customer service standards
• To keep student progress records
• To prepare students for and participate in seasonal recitals and shows
• To participate in student achievement program

Instructor Education

• Be familiar with classical, pop/rock and contemporary repertoire through intermediate levels or higher.
• Years of playing and performing experience, and fun personality to relate to students. Bachelor Degree or higher preferred, OR commensurate real-world experience.
• Candidate should have skills through intermediate to advanced with teaching/performing experience.
• Candidate must be able to pass a national background check
