Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to be creative task-based problem solvers who are passionate about creating experiences that engage the imagination whilst empowering users to bring the brand to life. This role could include elements of Product, UI and Visual design. Involved in projects from the beginning, UX Designers work closely with lead designers to help produce the experience vision… from concept to finished product.
Key Accountabilities
- Understands product specifications and identifies user touchpoints/interactions through the various journeys
- Conducts remote and on-site usability testing with real users to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement
- Develops wireframes and task flows based on user needs
- Works collaboratively with other designers, product design and development teams, business analysts, engineers and project managers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
- Creates and iterates core UX design deliverables
- Keeps abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will help us deliver user-centred design and research for national and international clients across the public sector, financial services and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be a driven, passionate and creative individual who thrives on solving problems, is adept at delivering UX across digital projects, and has the skills and breadth of knowledge to hit the ground running. As a UX designer at Dentsu, you’ll need to advocate appropriate strategies for research, test and design to continually improve our work. You’ll also need to drive the UX process and its implementation, generating new and useful user insights and translating it into features and actions that will allow the design team to create the best possible product for our clients’ users.
Necessary skills and knowledge:
- User Experience Design
- Requirements gathering Wireframing, sketching and prototyping
- Design specifications and systems
- Accessible design UX & UI methodologies
- Broad understanding of web languages - HTML5, CSS, JS
- Agile methodologies
