What you’ll be doing

• The primary focus for this role will be working on our customer-facing app, serving over 70,000 students across the UK.
• You will be conceptualizing the features within the app with the Product Owner and creating bespoke experiences for the companies and student’s needs.
• Ensure a user-centered design approach working collaboratively with UX designers, BAs, POs, and Developers.
• Ensure exceptional standards UX and UI design, ensuring brand standards and guidelines are maintained and enhanced across all designs.
• Research, ideate and concept UX solutions working closely with Stakeholders, BAs, and POs.
• Collaborate and instigate research and user-testing.
• Generate user stories, user journeys and flow diagrams, proactively Identifying UX and UI design problems and offer solutions.
• Rapidly test and iterate your designs, through sketching, paper prototyping and mind maps quickly iterate through ideas.
• Presenting solutions and insight to the wider team/stakeholders.
• Translate concepts into wireframes, mock-ups, hi-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
• Design and evolve designs across websites and mobile apps, using a mobile-first approach.
• Mentoring and peer reviewing the team’s work, and defining UX/UI standards with the team.

What we’re looking for in you

• Significant UX/UI design experience, UX principles, UI design best practices and processes, stakeholder engagement.
• A portfolio demonstrating high calibre digital design skills, working with material designs.
• Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively.
• Experience of leading on discovery projects and in planning, facilitating workshops.
• Proficient in mobile-first and responsive design.
• Proficient at creating low and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Strong knowledge of UX/UI software: Figma, Proto.pie, Optimal sort, Userlytics, or similar.
• HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills/knowledge.
• Experienced in accessibility requirements and solutions.
• Adept at working within an Agile project development environment.
• Collaborative, good communication, strong problem-solving skills.
