Responsibilities

• Creating market-leading, mobile-first designs for email comms that is aligned with our brand identity. You will be integral to developing and innovating our email templates and keeping up with future trends for this channel.
• Designing engaging and innovative creative for paid social media and display advertising. Content should be informed by insights from digital marketing reports, which you will be actively involved in understanding to optimise based on results.
• Actively contributing to weekly creative meetings, bringing research and inspiring design ideas to influence creative that is tailored to our customers.
• Continuously testing and reviewing designs, suggesting fresh ideas through creative problem-solving.
• Working closely with the email marketing team to form a clear understanding of how our email marketing platform functions to optimise email design, user experience and ultimately conversion.
• Keeping up to date with industry, design and multimedia trends. Improving skills and design output where possible and incorporating them into creative design solutions.
• Proactively use design and UX to create an inspiring customer experience across email and web.
• Ensuring all web content created is optimised for both mobile and desktop user experience.
• Working closely with the e-commerce team to deliver on all design requests for .com, such as resizing, cropping, formatting and exporting imagery for banners and various wireframes.

General Design

• Retouching and editing photography, such as extending backgrounds, removing distracting details, colour correcting etc, as and when needed to suit the needs for .com and email marketing.
• Supporting on troubleshooting design-related issues with assets, reviewing quality continuously to ensure our assets are of the highest standard.
• Support the wider design teams where necessary with ad-hoc digital requirements, such as retouching, artworking or general design needs across the business.

About You

• 1 to 3 years’ in-house or agency experience as a designer with skills across graphic design, motion graphics, video editing and photography.
• A love for all things digital, with experience in design for email.
• A ‘get stuff done’ attitude – be a self-starter and able to take the initiative.
• Love working in a team. Communication skills are key, and you’ll need to be confident coordinating projects with co-workers.
• Ability to see projects through from start to finish, from conceptualising campaign ideas that fit to a client brief, through to designing and executing the campaign.
• Expert knowledge across Adobe Creative Suite.
• Be a confident written and oral communicator (an ability to discuss creative ideas both internally and externally is a must).
• Have a strong sense of design layout, attention to detail and well versed in beautiful typography.
• Have strong time management skills, with an ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Great understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
• Ability to work with and build on established brand guidelines.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Animation skills would be a strong advantage.
