Media First Group is seeking a Studio Operator to execute streaming and television shows on vMix platform. This position is freelance.
This role requires strong knowledge of talk show formats with background in live streaming production utilizing multi-cam setups, PTZ cameras, cloud-based systems, audio, graphics, and studio setups. This person must be solution-oriented and able to troubleshoot technical issues proficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside production team to follow rundown to execute show through vMix platform using a combination of pre-set automation and active live switching.
- Collaborate with producers, talent and production management to ensure alignment with the visual requirements
- Manage virtual control room team for pre-records, technical rehearsals, and show tapings as scheduled
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure situations in addition to professional communication with team members and client contacts
- Expertise in routing video and audio components to third party conference software with problem-solving skills when required.
- Lead technical arrangements including planning outside broadcasts when necessary
- Use a knowledge of developments within the industry to provide advice on production needs and to brief colleagues on developing technical procedures
- Ability to edit on Adobe Premiere and create graphics with Adobe Photoshop
- Execute show from our location in Fairfield, NJ or Nutley, NJ
Experience
- 3+ years experience directing live streams or studio production, with multiple years of vMix experience
- Familiarity with the operations of studio equipment and knowledge of new studio technologies and hybrid production
- Experience with pre-recording and broadcasting multiple speakers and panels
- Intuition for show calling and transitions within program feeds
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
