The Role

We have an exciting opening for a Community Manager at Moonbug for our global preschool sensation CoComelon. The candidate will also help manage Moonbug community inquiries across social and email. This role will be a temporary role for 1 year while our Community Manager in the UK is on maternity leave.

The Community Manager will be the first point of contact to fans and partnership inquiries from social, email, and mail. As a fan brand that prides itself on being accessible to our audience and is focused on deepening our relationship with Parents, the Community Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring fans feel heard, understood and can access the real people behind their child’s favorite shows. Further, the Community Manager will also play an integral role in the social content creation process, using learned insights around past performance and trend data to inform future content themes.

This role has the unique opportunity to gather and surface consumer insights and trends in the category and cultural zeitgeist that help drive decision making and content strategy for the franchise.

Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of the brand on social media – which includes responding to comments on owned posts and relevant tagged posts while sticking to the brand tone of voice, proactively fishing for engagement opportunities, monitoring platform inboxes/keeping them organized, and posting content
  • Regularly provide community feedback to larger marketing team – escalating relevant community stories to management, notifying the team of potential opportunities for engagement, identifying audience trends that can be leveraged for content and brand strategy
  • Liaise with relevant departments to provide accurate information to consumers who have specific brand and product questions
  • Proactively sourcing UGC from the community – identify high-quality fan content, secure appropriate approvals to use said content, and keep content organized for marketing team members to leverage for future content.
  • Manage parents’ community groups on Facebook leading moderation alerts, spam and check-in with the DM chat with the group members
  • Connect with influencers, community leaders, and ambassadors to identify collaboration opportunities and best drive growth across different platforms
  • Managing and responding to fan mail as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
  • You have a nuanced understanding of social platforms and marketing/consumer trends (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads)
  • You are obsessed with social media and love engaging with online communities
  • Being in the know and part of the cultural zeitgeist is a passion and strength of yours
  • You are a strong, creative, and considerate communicator with: 1) the confidence to respond to fan comments in our brand voice, 2) the social savvy to discover new opportunities for engagement, 3) the emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive communications, and 4) the strategic thinking to transform community trends into actionable content ideas.
  • You are a multitasker with strong time management skills, organizational skills, and an eye for detail.
  • You have the ability to identify and track relevant community metrics and KPIs to inform larger social strategy.
  • You are someone who enjoys speaking to people and engaging in a conversation!
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to internal/external stakeholders at all levels
  • A strong communicator (written and oral) with a can-do, positive attitude who is calm under pressure and can influence and achieve buy-in at all levels
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Hungry and curious - constantly bringing new insights, ideas, and opportunities to the brand
  • Passion for brands that move fast and shape culture
  • Fluent English, essential; other languages beneficial
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Proficient in Adobe Suite a plus
  • Sense of humor and desire to have fun!

Salary: $70,000
