Who are we hiring?

As part of MSG Sphere Studio’s Real Time Software team, Graphic Designers collaborate to visually communicate through both digital and print platforms, developing original visual styles for a variety of presentations, pitches and multimedia experiences for MSG Sphere’s multi-media immersive platform. Under the direction of Real Time Software management, they work with cross-functional teams to research, develop and communicate experiential concepts across a variety of platforms including scenic and show design, immersive experiential installations, digital media, branding, brand partnerships, and customer experience. We are looking for a wildly creative teammate who has an affinity for graphic design and brand development; new technology and digital media; show design; and pop culture trends; who constantly seeks opportunities to improve their visual design skills. You are emboldened by the challenge of being a part of the team developing a world’s first medium & platform.

What will you do?

• Take the lead in all day-to-day graphic design projects including but not limited to deck creation, graphic templates, and digital design assets.
• Develop visual communication designs, from concept sketching through multi-platform visual design strategies (systems approach to visual design).
• Provide visual design and creative experiential thinking across a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to create original graphics, typography and graphic layouts for concepts and experiences for various media: projection mapping, interactive screen and built installations, live show visuals, brand installations, motion graphics, user experiences as well as deck and pitch creation.
• Research and prepare documents to communicate ideas to stakeholders, including design proposals and presentations that would include, theatrical set design, lighting design, experiential design, etc.
• Source references and identify visual trends from the worlds of design, art, film, music, fashion, pop-culture and more.
• Ensure that all work meets a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association.

What do you need to succeed?

• 4+ years of experience working in a fast-paced creative agency or design studio.
• Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. mood boards, concept drawings and sketches, etc.)
• High level of technical proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign; and XD; also proficient in Keynote and Power Point; After Effects a plus.
• Strong design background; understanding of typography, layout, form, color and spatialization; well versed in design process and print production methods.
• A knack for capturing the spirit of a concept in presentation format.
• Able to work in varying degrees of fidelity, from sketching through production (speed vs quality).
• Able to communicate the thinking behind your process.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering creative that is detailed, innovative and precise.
• Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of best practices and experimental approaches in design, marketing, and brand communications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
• Unreal Engine experience preferred.
• Maya, Substance, and Z Brush experience preferred.
