Contract: Part Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set an overarching strategy for how we will leverage content marketing and social media to drive awareness of and affinity for Tinkergarten.
  • Identify and continuously refine the core pillars of our content marketing strategy, develop a roadmap and set of reporting that will guide the execution of that strategy.
  • Leverage your expertise to share best practices across the Tinkergarten, Highlights Consumer and Highlights Education groups.
  • Collaborate with learning, product, technology and community teams to inform 3rd party technology choices, product features, and content development and refinement, in pursuit of novel ways to use content to grow our reach and impact.
  • Direct outside design and videography teams to produce original video content to support content marketing strategies and increase engagement.
  • Translate learning and brand content into effective social content that aligns to the strategy and performs within target channels.
  • Work in partnership with Senior Marketing Manager at Tinkergarten to devise, implement, measure and refine lead generation campaigns to grow Tinkergarten’s top of funnel.
  • Analyze performance data, form hypotheses, devise and launch experiments, and iterate to achieve optimal performance across all content channels.
  • Form content partnerships with 3rd party influencers and partners, develop, measure and report on partnership programs.
  • Share best practices across Highlights Consumer and Highlights Education group to level up our capacity across the organization.

What you should show up ready to teach anyone on your first day:

  • Develop and execute Tinkergarten’s social media strategy and content calendar for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, Pinterest and TikTok, Reddit, and other social media platforms.
  • Identify and continuously refine the core pillars of our content marketing strategy and roadmap that will guide the execution of that strategy.
  • Collaborate with learning, product, technology and community teams to inform 3rd party technology choices, product features, and content development and refinement, in pursuit of and to identify novel ways to use content to grow our reach and impact.
  • Translate learning and brand content into effective social content that aligns to content strategy and performs within target channels.
  • Analyze performance data and innovate/iterate to achieve optimal performance.
  • Administer all third-party social media tools and content management system.
  • Collaborate with learning and community teams to inform content development and identify new content opportunities.

Within your first month, you’ll:

  • Take over planning and tracking of all content creation and social marketing.
  • Establish systems through which teammates support in execution of content creation, posting and measurement.
  • Re-establish an understanding of baseline KPIs, and establish growth and improvement targets now that we are focused on our two new products/post acquisition by Highlights.
  • Revisit and revise our Tinkergarten content pillars and high-level content strategy to fit our new products and the evolution of our community and offerings.
  • Begin executing on campaigns that will lead to increased engagement in key channels, lead generation on tinkergarten.com and new subscriber acquisition.

Within your first year, you’ll:

  • Establish a content strategy and roadmap for fiscal year 2025.
  • Execute against that strategy, regularly report on progress towards goals and refine the strategy as appropriate to reach and exceed goals.
  • Show steady, ongoing growth in followings and engagement across key social channels.
  • Show measurable impact through lead generation campaigns in collaboration with Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Level up content marketing strategies across the greater Highlights organization.
  • Help us forecast KPIs for future year growth as impacted by content marketing programs.

Education and Experience:

  • 7-9 years developing and executing social strategy with a mission-driven consumer, education, and/or social impact brand.
  • Proven track record of using social media content to increase audience engagement, build brand equity, and drive revenue.
  • 7+ years of outstanding writing ability, journalistic judgment and sense of how to craft content to maximize social media engagement.
  • Ability to create high impact, compelling content for social channels from an extensive library of long form copy, images and video.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable learnings & optimizations.
  • A high standard of personal excellence and strong ownership of your work.

What would set you apart:

  • Understand our copywriting and communication skills, particularly for this audience.
  • Domain knowledge / strong interest in early childhood education, parenting topics, and/or the outdoors.
  • Experience in graphic design, illustration, videography, and/or photography.
  • Experience in developing partnerships and managing relationships in and out of the company.
  • Experience in managing creative teams.
  • High EQ and desire to collaborate to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated ability for ruthless prioritization of competing initiatives.
  • Willingness to coordinate with EST hours.
  • Willingness to travel to MA and/or OH from time to time.
  • A desire to make a huge impact during your time on the planet.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is:

Paygrade: E15

Minimum – Maximum

$80,650 - $120,950

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location, FLSA status, experience, and equity within the organization.
