Richmond Theatre is established as one of the most successful theatres in the country; presenting a wide range of quality drama, record breaking musicals, opera, dance and family entertainment each year. Richmond Theatre welcomes a quarter of a million theatre goers to over 40 outstanding productions annually, performing for about 49 weeks every year!
The incoming Theatre Director (Maternity Cover) will be instrumental in elevating the reach and status of this fantastic offering, and should be an ambitious visionary with the drive to transform the growth of the operation.
You will be taking the reins in ATG’s Richmond Theatre, a beautiful Frank Matcham designed playhouse. The theatre hosts a wide range of touring shows including drama, comedy and music as well as hosting shows ahead of their West End opening. The theatre plays an active role in the local community supporting the charitable aims of the Richmond Theatre Trust.
As the senior leader in the venue, you’ll play major part in the local community - this role drives performance, profit and service delivery to customers, producers and the business. It requires collaboration with colleagues in other venues, central functions and in the wider community to ensure best practice and excellent standards.
