The Role:

River Island is looking for a videographer specializing in social media and digital content. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, shooting, editing, and delivering high-quality video content optimized for our digital platforms. Your work will play a crucial role in engaging our audience and telling compelling stories through visual content. Responsibilities:

• Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video content that aligns with content plans and channel objectives
• Collaborate with the content and social teams to plan video content that aligns with the editorial calendar and trending topics
• Manage in-house projects from start to finish, including shooting on various devices, editing raw footage, optimizing for different platforms and adding visual elements to enhance video; considering different aspect ratios and specification in each project
• Capture a variety of shots, angles, and perspectives to enhance the visual storytelling
• Prioritize and schedule work effectively, anticipating problems and adjusting the allocation of resources and time accordingly
• Contribute to and work with relevant teams and stakeholders to develop, manage and implement integrated marketing campaigns
• Participate in regular departmental and cross-departmental progress meetings
• Monitor the performance of video content using analytics tools and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
• Stay up to date with industry trends, social media algorithms, and emerging video techniques

Attributes:

• The ability to work at pace to create and edit content, working closely with a team of marketing professionals across content, social media, brand, and digital marketing
• Skilled at crafting and producing exciting content to support campaigns and product launches. Able to forge connections within the brand to create behind the scenes storytelling featuring and people
• A self-starter with a passion and proven track record in content creation for the fashion industry
• Strong creative skills and a keen eye for details
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and structure work schedules

Key experience required:

• 2+ years experience creating social media video content across channels such as TikTok and Instagram
• Experience of video production, including filming, editing
• Proven track record in creating social media content with growing organic reach
• Experience with Photoshop & professional video editing software
