What We’re Looking For:

  • This role will report directly to The Vanity Group Founder and CEO. This temp-to-perm role will have responsibilities centered on leading and planning events from conception to completion, managing both fixed and fluid budgets, exigent timelines and problem-solving unique project challenges. You will work closely with the company’s Founder, members of the internal cross-functional team and external stakeholders for various events. As no day (nor client) at TVG is EVER the same, the person in this position must enjoy working in a challenging role that widely varies from day-to-day, and shares in our love and affinity for working on insanely cool projects that move the culture forward.

Location:

This position is located in Los Angeles, California. Relocation is not available. Hybrid office/remote environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead various teams of production partners, event designers, fabricators, freelancers and event contractors to ensure all events are completed to the highest, ultra-premium standard achievable.
  • Plan various level, high-profile events; ranging from small, intimate events to major red carpet productions from top to bottom.
  • Work with the Founder to clarify scope, project look/feel, creative & theme, budget and schedules based on the event requirements.
  • Manage milestones, scope, daily tasks and deliveries across multiple projects in accordance with the approved schedule and budget.
  • Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit / act on client feedback.
  • Be proactive about anticipating opportunities and risks, addressing them strategically without compromising project goals.
  • Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients, team members and project manager on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly.
  • Travel to event locations, including late evenings, weekends and holidays, sometimes with little to no notice depending on the event deadline.
  • Brainstorming and strategizing new creative themes and systems as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years working in the event production industry for legitimate brands, companies, agencies and/or talent
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Culture enthusiast and lover of music, fashion, the arts
  • Client-facing experience with a polished, stylish, professional, confident demeanor and enthusiasm for advocating for client experience
  • Genuinely enjoy dreaming, organizing, planning, contingencies, and details; frequently described as someone who pays attention to detail, is always on top of it, over-prepared, and super organized; pretty much a PROFESSIONAL ROCK STAR!
  • Work well in an ever-changing, fluid, fast-paced creative environment, able to cope with stressful situations and multi-task high-detail work for multiple clients, projects and assignments effectively; pretty much a “figure-it-out’able” solution-based personality
  • A problem-solver and an analytical thinker that enjoys rising to, and solving, project challenges.
  • Enthusiastic spirit and passion for leading a cross-functional, multi-cultural project team.
  • Driven to improve work product and quality, budget conscious, and able to effectively deliver high-revenue projects
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable communicating assertively, comfortable communicating assertively, both written and verbally, to internal and external team stakeholders, including giving/taking constructive criticism
  • Comfortable with both structured and agile/fluid working environments.
  • High-level experience & proficiency in Google Workspace, Apple, Adobe, Gusto and other relevant productivity, project & planning software
  • Some work on evenings, weekend and travel (local/out-of-state) in support of TVG client and internal business as necessary

Pay: $5,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
