Job Description:

Immersive theater company looking to fill a Special Effects Make Up Artist position for a 24-27 day event in Nashville mid September through November 5th. House of Spirits is an immersive theater program featuring comedians, actors, singers, musicians, improv actors, and background actors. Guests are encouraged to speak with the talent to try and uncover the hidden secrets of the mansion. Part immersive theater part cocktail soiree. This is the second season this project is in Nashville (first in Chicago and DC, second in Seattle, third in New York and Dallas, and forth in Los Angeles), and we are so excited. We work hard, and we have fun doing it.

Requirements:

• Must be available for all dates load in and loud out. Do not apply if you are not available for all listed dates below.

Load In & Load Out Dates:

• Load in: 9/30 - 10/5
• Load out: 11/1 - 11/4

Duties:

• Assisting with load in and load out of show
• Intermediate to advanced carpentry skills
• Ability to assemble furniture and props
• Scenic painting skills from basic painting of wall flats to old age/distressing
• Set decorating/set dressing
• Preparing, picking up, and delivering an assortment of props, décor items, materials, and furniture for the venue
• Communicating efficiently with the Creative Director to ensure vision is coming to life on set
• Making sure the equipment and prop setup is safe for actors and other staff to be around
• Any other tasks as requested by the Creative Director/Event Producer

Additional Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will also have basic painting skills.

Compensation:

Wage is $20 - $30 an hour depending on experience.
