Key Responsibilities
- Generate and cover day to day celebrity and TV news
- Ensure the focus is always on the site’s most-searchable stories
- Use PR contacts to pull in exclusive interviews and news stories
- Optimize stories in accordance with digital SEO/Social strategies
- Write and edit in accordance with digital house style
- Identify unique headlines and angles for stories covered elsewhere
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced journalist with NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge
- Strong track record of Showbiz and/or TV reporting experience at a national title
- Fantastic eye for detail and a keen interest in the developments of the TV/showbiz world
- First-rate communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong passion and knowledge for Showbiz
- Enjoy working to tight deadlines
- Experience of working in a digital newsroom and SEO would be beneficial
