The Opportunity

As an important part of our ambition in digital, the GDM (Global Digital Marketing) team at EY is opening a new User Experience & Designer contract role directly in the team. This role will work closely with Enablement’s UX Design and Content team to optimize our digital experience on EY.com and Internal platforms. In this role, you are responsible for providing actionable insights on how to explicitly improve EY’s digital content and experiences after interpreting the relevant audience data, and work with the GDM team to develop end-to-end design solutions that are distinctive, innovative and user-centric.

The goal of this role is to develop a deep understanding of the digital user experience on EY.com, Intranet and across the digital landscape, how our clients and partners interact with our digital presence and deliver data insights that can be translated into action. The role will act as a champion of the user and work with GDM and the broader BMC team to guide digital development, steeped in UX practices and principles. This person helps set and document the vision for the user experiences, serving as an advocate to ensure the highest level of engagement and relevancy. Individuals in this role must be user-focused, analytical, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition, this person must be able to work in a team environment to share information and collaborate on solutions. You will report to the Global UX Leader.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Strong UX and UI skills.
  • A champion and ambassador for the customer experience for our digital touchpoints across the entire business.
  • A dedicated team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually, and independently.
  • Work with Content team and business partners to identify opportunities for UX improvement and define best practices.
  • Ability to plan, rationalize and execute a clearly defined and intelligently thought-through process to identify and meet customer and business goals.
  • Great eye for detail, and confident in your design expertise and can communicate clearly and translate ideas to stakeholders and team members alike.
  • Familiarity with Design systems design and development and ability to produce design specifications.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, high-impact messages.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Analytics, Statistics, or related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically has 5 or more years’ experience in UX / UI design role, using a wide variety of research methods and technologies.
  • Demonstrated success at developing creative and comprehensive research strategies to reveal unforeseen opportunities and issues that have a significant impact on product strategy and design.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, as this role will involve daily interaction with people in countries around the globe.
  • A self-starter with a “can do” attitude and the drive to get the job done; the potential to develop within the organization.
  • A passion, drive, and complete understanding of digital to deliver creativity and big ideas.
