Job Description:

We’re looking for a Digital Content Producer to come in on a freelance basis and help keep our expanding marketing and comms operation running smoothly. As a Content Producer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting high-quality collateral for sales and marketing. You’ll be able to combine great writing skills with a keen eye for design and web publishing and help us tell our story.

We do this by making engagement software and selling it to governments.

Democratic engagement often is difficult to access and puts a huge burden of work on citizens, discouraging them from participating. By using our platforms, it’s much easier for the public to take part, and governments get better response data, which leads to better, more informed decisions.

What’s the job?

This role will involve creating content about our flagship engagement product, Citizen Space. We want someone who can come in and produce high-quality collateral about how our customers are using it and the impact it’s having on citizens, governance, and democracy. Some of what you’ll be working on has an existing format, and some of it will need to be invented but you’ll do this with support and collaboration from the comms and marketing team.

Responsibilities:

• Whitepapers, case studies, downloadable eBook reports, and blog posts
• Sales presentations, one-pagers, product sheets, and other resources that resonate with government decision-makers
• Creating and updating landing pages
• Product guidance documents

Who are you?

You’re an experienced content producer with a flair for presenting complex concepts in simple terms. You’re a good collaborator but equally happy to be given a brief and to crack on. You have good intuition when it comes to tone and can write in different styles depending on the medium. Essential skills include:

• Extremely articulate
• A good eye for design
• Organised and self-motivating
• Proven portfolio of work in HTML or experience of low code web publishing

Not essential, but would be really handy:

• Experience writing within/about government and the public sector
• Understanding of how software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies work
• Knowledge of accessibility and the importance of plain language and user-centred design
