About the Company

Coop is a company based in Austin, TX, on a mission to democratize chickens and build the largest decentralized food production network. We have spent the last 18 months building the world’s best chicken coop and are one month away from entering production. With hundreds of thousands of dollars in Coop pre-orders, we are seeing directional product market fit and have the potential to build a huge business in the connected urban farming space.

Our tight-knit team of 6 people, with 10+ years of experience working together, has been through Boost.VC + Y Combinator and started and scaled multinational million-dollar businesses. We are gritty and passionate while not taking ourselves too seriously. We are here to build something exciting that helps people reconnect with their food and the planet.

About the Role

We are seeking a product designer with energy, curiosity, and talent to work with us directly on creating the UI/UX of the Coop website and mobile app. Your responsibilities will include:

• Being a creative partner in bringing our website and mobile app to life, understanding our brand, voice, community, values, and vision
• Creating and refining a design system that reflects business and user goals and benefits to create a personalized user experience and set the business up for scale
• Flexibility in terms of hours, part-time/full-time, contract work, or W2 employment

This is a business-critical role, and we are looking for someone who will make us wonder how we got to market without them.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an early-stage startup environment
• Expert-level knowledge of design and intuitive UI/UX creation
• Excellent quantitative skills and ability to transform data into insights
• Ability to develop clean and incredible user experiences
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and maintain a growth mindset and bias for action
• Meticulous eye for detail and best-in-class ability to get things done

Location

Coop is based in Austin, TX, but we have a semi-remote team that also spends time in Dallas, TX. Ideally, you are based in or open to relocating to Austin.
