Job Description:

  • Skilled collaborator working with management, cross-functional and remote teams to schedule and facilitate use of the LV studio
  • Assist in maintaining studio space and equipment
  • Manage media assets from capture/creation through archiving and manages associated media documentation so media is easy to locate
  • Works with EDU IT and VIT to manage large media storage and backup
  • Performs studio production tasks, including assisting videographers, setting up and operating lighting, audio, camera, and teleprompter equipment, as well as directing talent on set as needed
  • Videography locations include video studio (including green screen, lightboard and any sets needed in studio) and onsite in labs or other locations.
  • Produces graphics, motion design elements, simulations, and multimedia assts (audio/video files, etc.) for education products and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project goals, create storyboards, and design and refine animations
  • Use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form
  • Create synthetic voiceover when needed
  • Responsible for editing and assembling learning assets into a suitable, finished product ready for publishing. Assets may include screen recordings, photos, camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, animation, and special effects
  • Edits video into appropriate length and matches to correct topic / other collateral
  • Creates and ensures adherence to video development guidelines, templates, style guides, production quality across education products
  • Skilled collaborator working with cross-functional and remote teams
  • Manage project assets from capture/creation through archiving
  • Remain current with film/video industry best practices for all aspects of production and suggest important processes or technology adoptions
  • Work closely with management to align on project roadmap and deliverables
  • Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques
  • Research industry trends and developments and learn new applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or certificate in computer animation, fine arts, graphic design, film, photography, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience as a studio manager or videographer
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Expert at lighting for chroma keying and pulling a key using post-production software
  • Experience as a video editor or motion designer (video/sizzle reel or website with examples required)
  • Proficiency with creating motion design using After Effects or similar software
  • Expert in digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Premiere Pro, Audition and Photoshop)
  • Extensive knowledge of color grading, chroma keying and an excellent sense of pace and timing
  • Experience working within tight deadlines while maintaining a collaborative spirit and high-quality output
  • Ability to turn around same-day edits and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience using current video production gear, including cameras, lights, and microphones
  • Comfortable directing talent in a video studio
  • Strong technical and video problem-solving skills (frame rates, mixing interlaced and progressive footage, composition, color correction)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel

Nice to have:

  • Experience using a lightboard for video shoots
  • Photography experience
  • Experience using Camtasia
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience editing education videos, training videos or video tutorials
  • Experience using e-learning software (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or similar), Docebo LMS (or similar)
  • Experience in 3D graphic design or animation
  • Experience producing marketing videos and graphic design assets
  • Experience translating videos and working with videos in multiple languages
  • Script writing and storyboarding experience
  • Experience with project management applications, such as Monday.com

Up to $35.00 per hour

North Las Vegas, NV 89030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Final Cut Pro: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Adobe Photoshop: 1 year (Preferred)
