Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Freelance Videographer to complement our team in a project-based capacity as an independent contractor. In most cases, this individual will work alongside our Producer and Cinematographer in a supporting role, both taking guidance and working independently to capture the content of a shoot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Cinematographer and Producer to understand the vision and requirements of each project.
• Operate camera equipment to capture high-quality footage in line with the project’s objectives.
• Utilize gimbals and other stabilization equipment to achieve smooth and dynamic shots.
• Ensure diverse footage capture, from wide-angle shots to close-up details, to best tell the story.
• Represent Betterme Productions on set as a kind, professional, and collaborative team member.
• Contribute creative ideas to every project.
• Manage and maintain equipment, ensuring its readiness for shoots.

Essential Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the fundamental elements of videography, including composition and framing, depth of field and focus, and exposure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to take direction as well as work independently.
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Blackmagic cameras.
• Previous experience in a supporting role on a film or video set.

Nature of Relationship:

As a freelance contractor working in this role with Betterme Productions:

• Independent Contractor: Your relationship with Betterme Productions is that of an independent contractor and not an employee. This means you are self-employed and responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and other administrative tasks.
• Flexibility: You will have the flexibility to determine your work hours and methods, provided you meet the project’s requirements and deadlines.
• Equipment & Tools: Typically, as a contractor, you might be expected to provide and maintain your own equipment and tools unless otherwise specified.
• Duration of Work: Your engagement with Betterme Productions is project-based, and the duration of work is determined by the specific needs of each project.
• Compensation: You will be compensated based on the terms agreed upon in the contract, without employment benefits.
• Termination: The working relationship can be terminated by either party as specified in the contract.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
