Web Applications Designer
- Hybrid (in office and remote) work
- Part time (40 hrs. per two week pay period)
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains the organization’s internal and external websites through design and coding to enhance user experience. Ensures Hospice & Community Care’s websites maintain organizational brand and consistency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain the content and images on Hospice & Community Care’s external websites including creating new pages; updating copy, images, and videos; adding code for registration forms; creating informational forms; and adding news, events, and Hospice publications.
- Maintain the organization’s internal websites including using WordPress plugins to find opportunities to create operational efficiencies, effectiveness, and enhancements to the end-user experience throughout the organization.
- Maintain the organization’s patient/caregiver app including updating copy, images, and video, and integrating two-way communication between the user and the organization’s Clinical Support Team (CST).
- Maintain a legacy website using ASP code base for internally built solutions for Open Enrollment, Grant Funding/Tracking, and Physician Time Tracking.
- Collaborate with other departments and develop new web functionality/content when needed.
- Maintain a secure infrastructure for the organization’s websites including routinely testing and updating plug-in versions.
- Assist with monitoring Google Analytics for the organization’s websites.
- Create customized, trackable links for inclusion on print and digital marketing materials that integrate with our web analytics.
- Manage Linux-based virtual machines used for intranet web hosting.
- Work directly with website vendor to fix issues that are unable to be fixed internally.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Web design or web development experience plus demonstrated skills required
- 3-5 years of professional experience preferred
- Awareness of UI/UX principles.
- Experience using WordPress, HTML, Javascript, ASP code, CSS, Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and commitment to the organization’s corporate identity standards and systems required.
- Flexibility in responding to shifting demands and interruptions to meet the needs. Ability to work with others in a team and accept direction and critique.
