Location: Markham, ON, Canada

Contract: Part Time

Responsibilities:

  • Explore different approaches to solving a specific user problem and then design, test, and provide various solutions.
  • Ensure that the product logically flows from one step to the next.
  • Take ownership for how the product feels (UX) and how the product is laid out (UI).
  • Create and manage all prototypes using a variety of prototyping tools.
  • Demonstrate solutions to key stakeholders and developers.
  • Ensure developers have access to accurate and detailed prototypes, mock-ups, etc.
  • Create visual aids or training materials as required to demonstrate user experience / workflows.
  • Create assets as required (images, icons, controls, etc.)
  • Create and manage style guides for various platforms and solutions.
  • Select and implement appropriate typography.

Qualifications:

  • Skills required to succeed in the role.

Design:

  • You’re able to create detailed mock-ups, prototypes, and style guides.
  • You’re able to create additional visual aids to ensure your ideas are understood (i.e., storyboards, presentations).

Design Software:

  • You are proficient with design software (Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).

Prototyping Software:

  • You are an expert with various prototyping software platforms, such as Axure, XD, or Figma.
  • You learn quickly and can master new software applications, quickly.
  • You are up-to-date with all software applications and are aware of new technology available to you.

UI/UX:

  • You are recognized as a subject-matter expert in UI/UX.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant product design experience.
  • Automotive industry experience is an asset.

Education:

  • Post-secondary Education or equivalent work experience.
