WagerLab is a rapidly growing startup that’s revolutionizing the “sports betting” market by expanding it into a more inclusive and engaging “betting” market. Our app enables users to bet on anything in a fun, social setting - from 1-on-1 bet tracking to group pick’em pools. We also offer software integrations which help other brands incorporate competitive, betting-related elements and gamification into their products or services. Job Description

Are you an exceptional Software Engineer who’s interested in working at the intersection of sports and gamification technology? If so, WagerLab is the perfect opportunity for you! As a member of our development team, you’ll help redefine the gamification and sports betting landscape by contributing to the development of our social wagering platform. This is your chance to make a significant impact, grow professionally, and reap the rewards of being an early contributor to a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or related)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a professional software engineer
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript and React
  • Regularly works on both front-end and back-end development in current role
  • Very strong software architecture skills, with the ability to design highly scalable systems
  • Able to work independently to deliver clean and polished code that’s ready for release
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Ideal qualifications:
  • Recent experience working at an early-stage startup
  • Proficiency in React Native
  • Experience with NextJS
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect technical and product aspects in order to drive the overall business forward
  • Proven experience leading a software development team

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality code for our platform
  • Architect scalable and efficient systems in collaboration with other devs team
  • Contribute to both our product and technical direction
  • If desired, wear many hats in a dynamic early-stage startup environment
